Simplex Locks – Secure Keyless Entry

Simplex Locks - Keyless EntrySimplex locks also known as Unican Locks are a type of mechanical push button keyless entry lock. These units operate using a mechanical or more recently an electronic re-settable combination chamber.

Simplex locks are used in all sorts of locations from easy access to residential front doors to high security locations in government facilities.

The use of a Simplex can simplify access control for large amounts of people to a single location. A Simplex combination can be changed by a locksmith or even the end user when a person is no longer to have access.

A Simplex operates by utilizing a 5 number re-settable combination chamber. This combination chamber allows for the ability to press two numbers at one time which greatly increases the possible combinations. Each number can only be used once in a combination.

Most Simplex models will come pre-programmed to the factory code of: Hit the 2 and 4 button at the same time then hit the 3 button. This will activate the control arm and allow the lever or knob to be turned.

Below you can find the different models of Simplex locks and some information about each. At the bottom of this page you can find the Simplex 1000 and L1000 as they are one of the most popular of the Simplex locks.
